A new "teach yourself" tutorial for economists called
Internet Economist has been launched by Economics LTSN. It is one of
a set of tutorials that has been created for the
RDN Virtual Training Suite.
The revamped official UK National statistics website is now up and running.
A key feature is StatBase, an on-line database which holds a large selection of government statistics organised under various main headings (known as
"themes").
The latest edition of Bill Goffe's splendid on-line guide to
Resources for Economists on the Internet, Vol. 4, No. 3 March, 2000 is now available
(and on the UK mirror site).

The University of Bristol's bid to host the new Learning and Teaching Support Network [LTSN], Economics subject centre was
accepted by the HE funding councils. The centre has now opened (January 2000) and will gradually take over all the functions
of CTI Economics. However, the new centre will encompass all forms of learning and teaching material, not just C & IT.
The web site for SOSIG (Social Science Information Gateway) has been redesigned with
a new look for the 21st century. The service has also been expanded with the inclusion of Grapevine
where you can create an online CV (resume) or search through the others in the database.
