MaX-1, A Visual Electromagnetics Platform, is a graphic platform for computational electromagnetics containing advanced tools for the visualization and animation of electromagnetic fields as well as numeric semi-analytic and analytic Maxwell techniques. Part-based on the Multiple Multipole (MMP) technique and part-based on the Generalized Finite Difference (GFD) scheme, MaX-1 is a powerful method with high reliability and accuracy of results.

The product combines an authoritative new executable (MaX-1) together with an extensive tutorial package which demonstrates its diverse features, high level of flexibility and broad range of applications. The User Manual and Tutorial are included in the CD-ROM together with input files of all examples considered in the tutorial and corresponding AVI movie animation files. On-line help from the author is also available to all users of MaX-1.

An important advantage of MaX-1 is the accompanying "Getting Started with MaX-1" manual which provides step-by-step guidance on how to use each type of solvers, creating a project and drawing objects in MaX-1.

System Requirements

MaX-1 can be installed on a PC running Microsoft® Windows 95® or Windows NT™ (Version 4.0 or higher). Systems should have 16MB of more physical memory. When you run MaX-1 from the CD-ROM, no hard disk space is required for the installation. The hard disk space required for running MaX-1 depends on the size of the problem to be solved. Less than 1 MB of free space on your hard disk is sufficient for most of the examples as long as no AVI movie files are produced.

Publication Details
