The Bioinformatics Resource is the website of the CCP11 project (Collaborative Computational Project 11), funded by
the BBSRC and hosted by the MRC Human Genome Mapping Project Resource Centre on the Wellcome Trust Genome Campus,
Cambridge. Click image below to enter website.

The Bioinformatics Resource (TBR) is the website of CCP11 (Collaborative Computational Project 11), which
aims to foster bioinformatics in the UK research community. CCP11 runs conferences and workshops, and
provides a newsletter and bioinformatics information resources via TBR.
TBR can help you find information on:
- Study: Internet Courses, Tutorials, Degrees, Journals, Books, Glossaries
- Careers: Post-doctorates, Lectureships, Industry jobs, Recruitment sites
- Institutions: Research Groups, Societies, Institutes, Universities, Companies
- Software: WWW Servers, Academic and Commercial Software Links
- Databases: Nucleic Acid, Protein and Genome databases and others
- Bioinformatics FAQ: A constantly evolving guide to bioinformatics
CCP11 also collaborates on the software package EMBOSS (European Molecular Biology Open Software Suite), which provides over 150 bioinformatics applications covering areas including:
- Sequence alignment
- Nucleotide sequence pattern analysis
- Codon usage analysis for small genomes
- Protein motif identification, domain analysis and 2° structure prediction
- Rapid database searching with sequence patterns
- Phylogenetic analysis
CCP11 is co-funded by the MRC, BBSRC, and the EPSRC and is hosted at the UK MRC Human Genome
Mapping Project Resource Centre (HGMP-RC) at the Genome Campus, Cambridge.
